This project was nominated for the Hobin Prize as part of Carleton's Housing Studio. Situated in Confederation Heights in Ottawa, this housing project prioritizes waterfront connection, rational way-finding, and affordability. It aims to create a key pedestrian junction with direct and recreational pathways linking to the river and park, while protecting a key heritage view of the Edward Drake building and a protected forest area onsite. Two pedestrian bridges will enhance connectivity to the waterfront bike path and LRT. The existing tower would be converted into affordable student housing, and the office building would be transformed into a community center. Standard building forms and dimensions are prioritized in order to ensure economic efficiency, and affordability for the community. The Green Connect project was completed as a team with Fedaa Mahmoud, The Stream was Jasmine's independent contribution.
